Taipei, Nov. 20 (CNA) Strengthening northeasterly winds will bring rain to eastern and northeastern Taiwan on Sunday and send overnight low temperatures down to 20-22 degrees Celsius nationwide, according to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).The CWB said Hualien and Taitung on the east coast and the Greater Taipei area will see scattered showers on Sunday, while the northeast and pockets along the east coast could see more sustained and heavy rains.
Areas south of Taoyuan, meanwhile, will see mostly cloudy to sunny skies on Sunday, according to the weather bureau.
Temperaturewise, daytime highs will reach 24-25 degrees in Greater Taipei and the northeast and 27-31 degrees in other regions, while overnight lows will drop to 20-22 degrees nationwide, the bureau said.
